The next time you see your bananas turning brown, don’t throw them away; turn them into a delicious banana bread instead.
Here is an easy banana bread recipe. It is fairly simple to make using only simple ingredients and the perfect use of any overripe bananas. This banana bread is super moist and very delicious.

For this recipe, you will need:
- 3 large overripe bananas (the browner, the better for sweetness)
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 1/2 cup of white sugar
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1 1/2 cups of flour
- 1 tsp of baking soda
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- 1 tbsp of cinnamon
- We are going to start by adding the three ripe bananas to a mixing bowl. Using a fork, mash them until they become smooth. I prefer using a fork, but you could use an electric hand mixer if you’d like.
- In a separate bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and a pinch of salt. Sifting your dry ingredients helps remove clumps, ensuring that they mix evenly through the batter.
- After you have mashed up the bananas, add in the white sugar, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, and milk. Stir everything together until the mixture becomes smooth.
- Slowly, you are going to fold in all your dry ingredients together with your wet ingredients. Make sure not to overmix to help keep the bread soft and moist.
- Preheat your oven for 10 minutes at 350F. Pour your batter into a loaf pan. I like to use parchment paper instead of greasing up the pan, but either will work. Bake for about 45-60 minutes. Insert a toothpick into the center, making sure it comes out clean.
- For extra flavor, you can top off the banana bread with chocolate chips or walnuts before baking, giving it an extra crunch or chocolaty goodness.
Once it’s done baking, let the banana bread cool before slicing.
This easy recipe is a perfect way to turn simple ingredients into something yummy.
