Joselyn Carbajal, Senior Staff Writer
Joselyn Carbajal is a 17-year-old senior at Granite Hills High School. She is involved in varsity tennis, varsity softball, and the Law, Justice, and Ethics Pathway. With five siblings, Carbajal has grown up in Porterville surrounded by a big family and a strong sense of community.
Carbajal describes her style as casual with a western touch. She enjoys baking pastries and desserts in her free time. She also loves watching mukbangs, horror movies, and shopping, as well as spending time with her peers at school.
Deeply involved on campus, Carbajal is an active member of CSF, Cause for Paws, MECHA, and Cancer Awareness Club. Outside of school, she also gives back to her community as a coach for the Junior Giants youth softball team, where she encourages and mentors younger athletes. Her bright spirit and positive energy make her someone who lifts others and inspires those around her.
In the future, Carbajal plans to attend a four-year university, major in criminology, and minor in psychology. Her ultimate goal is to become a police officer. She has a kind heart, a friendly personality, and a dedication to helping others. Carbajal is the type of student who leaves a lasting impression both inside and outside the classroom.
