Homecoming week is quickly approaching, and students are getting ready for one of the most spirited times of the year.
This year’s theme is Grizzlies in Wonderland.
The school has planned five themed dress-up days:
- Monday: “I’m Late!” (Crazy/Mismatch)
- Tuesday: Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum (Twin Day)
- Wednesday: Tiny Alice Day (Dress up as a little kid)
- Thursday: Characters (Dress as a Wonderland character)
- Friday: Grizzlies in Wonderland (Grizzly Spirit day)
Along with the spirit days, the nominees for Homecoming Court have been announced. Students are excited to see who will take the crown, with all the anticipation leading up to the Homecoming football game on Friday, Sept. 26, against Orange Cove.
After the game, the celebration continues with the Homecoming dance in the Pyramid, giving students the chance to dress up, hang out with friends, and close out Homecoming week with a night to remember. Tickets for the dance are $7. The dance is open to all Porterville Unified students, but they must bring their identification card.
