Fall is in the air – which means Starbucks has released its highly anticipated fall drinks and pastries.
Every fall, Starbucks releases its seasonal drinks, including the Pumpkin Spice Latte, Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai, and Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte. Starbucks also releases seasonal pastries, including baked apple croissants, raccoon cakepops, pumpkin loaves, and pumpkin cream cheese muffins.
These treats are sure to make you feel cozy like a warm, fall hug.
Starting with the pastries, we reviewed the pumpkin loaf and pumpkin cream cheese muffin. The Pumpkin loaf had a well-balanced amount of spice and sweetness to it, while also having a nice crunch from the pepita seeds. As for the pumpkin cream cheese muffin, it was very similar in flavor but had a nice creaminess to it because of the cream cheese.
The pumpkin spice latte had a slight pumpkin spice flavor. This specific drink was coffee-based rather than spice, which featured cinnamon that helped bring out the overall flavor.
The Iced Pumpkin Chai was very rich in that pumpkin essence and was sweeter and had a slightly stronger pumpkin flavor, yet still managed to have the strong essence of the chai.
As mentioned in the YouTube video, the iced pumpkin chai tasted as if we had taken a bite of a pumpkin-spiced candle.
The last drink we were able to get our hands on was the iced pecan crunch oatmeal latte. The drink had a strong coffee flavor and tasted very similar to the iced white mocha if it had more of a nutty pecan taste to it.
Overall, it was a great experience reviewing Starbucks’ fall pastries and drinks. Even if you aren’t a fan of pumpkin spice but are willing to try something new, Starbucks drinks are something to look forward to trying.
