National iPod Day is recognized on Oct. 23. Many students today may not even know what an iPod is or have use for one today’s society.
Teachers, however, are very familiar with iPods.
I asked a few of our Granite Hills staff members what was the most significant song they had to have on their iPod back in the day?
For those unfamiliar with iPods, they were devices that only had a few gigabytes of storage for you to store music. This meant that most people couldn’t have 10,000 songs on their playlist like they can today. Songs would have to be downloaded to your iPod. This also meant once you had surpassed your iPod’s storage size, you could not add any more unless you deleted some songs.
Tony Fadell was the original inventor of the iPod, which Steve Jobs had announced.. The iPod was first introduced on October 23, 2001. It wasn’t released to the public until November 10th of that year, however.
The iPod truly revolutionized the way we consume music today. Nevertheless, here’s what some of our staff had to listen to back then.
